Driving Question: Does speaking a different language mean we count differently?

Learning Target: To use the idea of place value to solve a variety of different puzzles. 


Success Criteria 
Beginning
Compare and order whole numbers and decimals, using inequality symbols.
Developing
Multiply and divide whole numbers and decimals by 10, 100, 1000 etc.
Mastering
Using written methods to multiply and divide numbers to solve puzzles.

Use whiteboard to consolidate the idea of inequalities.

Multiply and divide by 10, 100 or 1000.

Multiply any two numbers. 


Use whiteboards to check understanding of multiplication methods. 


Introduce students to the idea multiplying numbers using the Chinese Multiplication Grid if they need a method.
